Major works
Every major works project on track, from the action plan to the last invoice
A roof replacement runs for months and changes hands along the way. Keep it in one file: who's in charge, what's next, what's late, and what it's costing.
- One file per project
- Title, description and type (major work, minor work or maintenance), what triggered it (the maintenance logbook, an emergency or an inspection), the building, the project manager, and the start and expected end dates.
- An action plan with dates
- Build the plan from your company's step templates, or add steps as you go. Each step has its planned dates, and the ones running late or coming due are flagged before anyone has to ask.
- Every action and every hour logged
- Record what was done at each step, by whom and for how long. Internal notes stay internal, billable lines are added as the work happens, and each one is marked billed, not billed, or skipped with a reason.
- Budget, quotes and invoices
- The project's budget, the suppliers' quotes and their invoices live in the same file as the work, so the cost of a project is never a separate spreadsheet.
- The whole portfolio at a glance
- Counters for overdue, in-progress and completed projects, filters by project manager and expected end date, and an Excel export when the board asks for the list.
